When Jesus commanded his church to make disciples of the nations, he explained this in terms of two activities: 1) "baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit"-- which emphasizes the conversion of the nations; and 2) "teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you" -- which emphasizes how Christian education is to produce a certain way of life.
